Putting your life in your own hands: Baton Rouge ranks 3rd in pedestrian fatalities

Don’t have a car? Have to walk because the bus didn’t show up? Or, is it just a beautiful day for a walk?

You better think twice before you step foot on the roads!

Louisiana has the third highest pedestrian fatality rate in the nation, with 1,024 pedestrians killed between 2005 and 2014, according to new report from The Center for Planning Excellence. Read article

If this number sounds alarming 🚨🚨 that’s because it is! Over 100 pedestrians a year die in Baton Rouge each year by being hit by a motor vehicle.

I’m curious to know the impact of Uber has on this number in the future.

More drivers are distracted now more than ever! Please educate yourself and your family of the dangers walking in/on/around/near streets!
